The Critics’ Choice Movie Awards are bestowed annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association to honor the finest in cinematic achievement.

The Critics’ Choice Movie Awards is the first televised movie awards show of the year.

Comedic duo Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer will host the show and VH1 You Oughta Know artists Fitz and The Tantrums will rock the stage as the evenings house band. Hugo director Martin Scorsese will receive the 2012 Critics’ Choice Music+Film Award. Selected by the Broadcast Film Critics Association Board of Directors, the Music+Film Award honors a single filmmaker who has touched audiences through cinematic storytelling and has heightened the impact of films through the brilliant use of source and original music.
