American Idol is back for season 23 (season eight on ABC) hosted by Ryan Seacrest and featuring music industry legends and judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and new judge, Carrie Underwood. This upcoming season marks 20 years since Carrie Underwood won America's heart on Idol and launched her successful multi-Grammy award-winning career.
